with an everted rim and supported on a straight foot ring. The sides are enamelled with eight iron-red dragons against a ground of underglaze blue crested waves, all beneath a narrow band of interlocking cash. The interior is similarly decorated with a single dragon medallion. The base is painted with the six-character mark of the Kangxi Emperor within concentric circles in underglaze blue, and of the period.
A very similar example is illustrated in Miscellaneous Enamelled Porcelains, Plain Tricoloured Porcelains: The Complete Collection of Treasures of the Palace Museum (Shanghai, 2009), no. 146, pp. 194–5.
