With a total between them of over 75 years’ experience in the Chinese Art market, Roger Keverne and Miranda Clarke, his wife, have run the company since 1997.
Roger Keverne worked at Spink and Son Ltd for 23 years, 17 of these as senior director in charge of the Asian Departments – Chinese, Japanese, Islamic and South-East Asian. He is a former Vice-Chairman and Council Member of the BADA, the British Antique Dealers’ Association (which represents over 400 of the best dealers in the United Kingdom), and a former Chairman of the Grosvenor House Antiques Fair Publicity and Oriental Vetting Committees. The Company was proud to be a member of the BADA.
Asian Art in London is now the single largest Asian art event in the world and Roger Keverne is proud to have served as its Chairman for two lengthy terms of office. For a number of years, he served as Chairman of the Oriental Vetting Committee at the Winter Antiques Show in New York and he was pleased to be an exhibitor at this prestigious fair.
Roger Keverne is a well-known authority in the field of Chinese jade and was consultant editor of Jade, first published by Letts in 1991.
He was for many years a Governor of Compton Verney, the award-winning museum and art gallery in Warwickshire, founded by Sir Peter Moores.
